Go careful.’ And they will because we made it from fluorescent yellow Thinsulate with a reflective stripe round the cuff. Warm and safe. Winter sorted. Thinsulate is a brand of synthetic fiber thermal insulation used in clothing. Its name comes from the combination of the words “thin” and “insulate” and was first introduced by the company 3M in 1960. Thinsulate fibers are about 15 micrometres (0.00059 in) in diameter, which is thinner than the other polyester fibers but provides greater warmth and insulation. It is used in a wide variety of clothing products, such as footwear, gloves, hats, coats and jackets.
