WorkStuff UK x Supertouch
We recently supplied DIY SOS, went to meet them and watched them film their TV Show behind the scenes, here’s how that happened…
It all started with a tweet, they were asking if anyone could supply them with some Hard Hat Helmets for an upcoming TV Show, two of our great customers were kind enough to tag us in that post to bring it to our attention. We responded saying that we would be over the moon to help and asked them to get in touch.
DIYSOS are looking for some new hard helmets, with printed names for our wonderful purple shirts and designers! Can anyone help us, please?! #DIYSOSbigbuild

The very next day we were speaking to a Runner from DIY SOS about supplying them, we were so happy to be involved!
The race was on, DIY SOS needed them within 48 hours! (I forgot to mention this was also during Easter Week so no Easter Friday and a Bank Holiday the following Monday!)
We managed to pull some strings and got all 9 Helmets arriving at our front door the very next morning, we also managed to source some Printing Stickers with all 9 presenters names on to stick on the helmets as well. We pulled out all the stops that day having to put the Name Stickers on ourselves (very finicky work I must add) and had them sent out the door that very same day! With a sigh of relief, we’d managed to meet the time frame.
The next morning, we had an email land in our inbox informing they’d received the helmets and how ecstatic they were with how they look and how we managed to pull it off in such a short time. They also informed us we were invited to send a Representative to go to Scunthorpe, meet the team and watch them film from behind the scenes! To say we were feeling chuffed is an understatement.
The filming took place a few weeks later and we raced down the A46 to Scunthorpe to be part of it, when we arrived there was already hundreds of Tradesman and Suppliers. We waited patiently to be told what to do next. Instructed to walk down the road and wait outside the house we were greeted by lots of Camera and Soundpersons. Staying quiet behind the scenes we watched the Team including Nick Knowles talk to the family about how much they loved the house and overwhelmed they were with the support from everyone.
After a day of being behind the scenes and seeing the tricks of the trade it finally came time to meet the DIY SOS Team and have a photo in front of the famous DIY SOS Van. Below is our Marketing Apprentice, Jack with the DIY SOS Team sporting his WorkStuff UK fleece! He had a great day meeting the team and can’t wait for his next WorkStuff UK adventure.
That’s where our day with DIY SOS finished, we’re so happy that we were chosen to support and be involved in such a great thing. WorkStuff UK are more than happy to offer our services for great causes such as these and plan to do many more of these sorts of things in the upcoming future.
We’d like to finish by thanking DIY SOS not only for inviting us behind the scenes and being super welcoming on the day but for the continued great thing that they do for these unfortunate families that have suffered grief of some sort. We can’t thank them enough for helping with such great causes so regularly. We can’t wait to see it when it airs on the TV!
